What can I say except wow… The Behl Events team not only made our dream wedding come to fruition – but they made every step of the process so exciting and so seamless. We worked closely with Anjali and Sofia for close to 1.5 years planning a 4-day fusion wedding at our family home. This was no small task! They not only created a venue space out of our home, but brought their creativity in full swing to make it feel like we were transported each day. From vendor outreach, to brainstorming color schemes, to trouble shooting whatever stressors we had, they truly allowed us to be ourselves through this process. On the actual event days, their coordination team was fantastic. We did not have to lift a finger or worry about a thing! I think many couples don’t get to enjoy their wedding week as they can be caught up with many tasks, but i really felt like we were able to soak in every moment. My partner and I had the most incredible 3-day wedding in Tulum, Mexico earlier this year and it wouldn’t have been possible without these two amazing women.
From the moment we first spoke with Nupur, we knew we were in good hands. She listened to all our ideas (and there were a lot!), offered super helpful suggestions, and helped us shape our vision into something even better than we imagined. Anjali was a rockstar when it came to keeping everything organized and making sure no detail was overlooked. Together, they were the dream team!
The Planning Process – Planning a destination wedding can be stressful, but Nupur and Anjali made it feel effortless. Vendor Magic – One of the things we were most impressed with perspective on selecting vendors, as we were picking most vendors that are local in Mexico, Nupur and Anjali used their vast experience to vet out the best from the vendors we researched. They helped us make decisions on decor/florals… They strongly recommended that we pick a DJ from the US and having their recommended DJ for all our events from Haldi, Sangeet, Wedding, and reception was the best decision.
The Wedding Weekend – Wow. Just wow. Our guests are still talking about how amazing everything was! From the welcome Superbowl party to the Haldi, to Sangeet, to Baraat, Shaadi, and reception to the after party, every event was perfectly executed. Nupur and Anjali were on-site making sure everything ran smoothly, and it did. They thought of everything–even things I didn’t realize we needed!
What Stood Out – What I loved most about working with Nupur and Anjali was how much they cared. This wasn’t just another wedding for them–they took the time to get to know us as a couple and made sure every part of our wedding reflected who we are. We had the pleasure of working with both Nupur and Anjali for our Summer 2024 wedding. Our wedding weekend was an absolute dream, and we definitely have them to thank for it.
We chose the full planning package for our haldi, sangeet, ceremony, and reception. Nupur and Anjali guided us on all aspects of the planning, from the big decisions such as vendors and timeline, to pretty much every small detail for things like menu and decor. They are not only extremely knowledgeable, but they also took the time to listen to us and understand our vision. One of our concerns when we started looking for planners was feeling stifled by someone who insisted on doing things a certain way. We are so grateful to have found Nupur and Anjali, who understood the cultural aspects of an Indian wedding, but were also open to more modern interpretations of certain aspects.
In terms of execution, everything was flawless. We did not have to worry about setup, cleanup, or any of the details in between. We were able to just show up and have a good time! Thanks to the Behl events team, we actually had time to eat at each of our events. Our parents and many of the guests could not stop talking about how smoothly everything ran throughout the weekend.
It’s hard to summarize all the ways in which Nupur and Anjali kept us sane over the last year, but I’ll try to give a few examples. Whenever we were stressed during the planning process, Anjali would notice, and we’d get a text from her offering to hop on a call and talk things through. Before we had time to worry about bad weather or a tasting that didn’t go well, Nupur had already figured out multiple backup options and gathered quotes for us. On the wedding day, as they were helping me take out contacts that I had accidentally worn for 24 hours, another one of our vendors commented that they had never seen planners go above and beyond as Nupur and Anjali had.
Throughout the planning process, we kept saying how hiring Nupur and Anjali was our best planning decision, and after the wedding, we still feel the same way!

Nupur and the rest of the Behl Events team was an invaluable resource for us during our wedding planning process. From our first conversation with her, Nupur stood out among all the other Bay Area Indian wedding planners we had spoken to. She was confident in her ability to help us execute this event in the way we wanted and struck the right balance of of guidance and support. For aspects/vendors we had strong opinions on, she was able to help us realize those and prioritized those opinions. For others where we didn’t, she helped reduce the stress of the constant decision-making required during this process by providing direction when we asked for it.
She earned our trust over the year between when we hired her for the full planning package and when our event was executed, and one of the most impressive qualities we noticed later on was that she earned our families’ respect before the event too. She knew when to speak up during their discussions and when to give them space to voice their thoughts. Our parents all individually commented on their positive impressions of her without prompting, and they were able to rely on her more comfortably during the events after these experiences.
Nupur was able to help us navigate any challenges that came up during the process, from a vendor dropping out last minute to our hotel breaching their contract with us just weeks before the wedding. She stood up for us and reduced the impact of situations like this on our wedding, even coming up with solutions to reduce the burdens on us before we were aware of them.
In hindsight, we are thrilled with how our wedding events went and know that it wouldn’t have been the same without her and her team’s hard work.

My husband and I selected Nupur for the partial planning package about 1.5 years before our wedding. We had interviewed many planners before her but once we spoke with her, we knew that we HAD to work with Nupur – she has a very upbeat, can-do, and efficient outlook on the planning process that aligned well with our personalities & priorities. And we are so happy she was available! Looking back on it, we should have picked Nupur even before finding our venue; the nominal monetary increase would have been well worth it to save us the stress of venue hunting alone.
From our first meeting, Nupur did a great job of providing us a prioritized list of tasks that we should focus on at the right point in time. She was respectful & mindful of our budget and provided a great amount of design input when we just wanted something to “look nice” but weren’t sure how to get there. She did a nice job of managing input from our very vocal family members who cared a lot about specific elements of the wedding. She was also a great guide when were deciding which vendors to partner with – and with a wedding that was one full week long, there were A LOT of vendors. Nupur particularly shined in this department when we were 60 days out from the wedding. Then on the days of our wedding events, Nupur, Anjali, and their assistants were very kind and good at organizing our guests in an orderly fashion, allowing us to be fully present.
Keep in mind that if you move forward with a partial package, you will be sending a lot of emails to potential & finalized vendors yourselves, so if that does not sound appealing to you, select the full package so Nupur can take everything off your plate.
In all, our wedding was an absolute BLAST and hands down our best decision was selecting Nupur Behl Events to make it happen.
TL;DR: Nupur is the planner you want if you are planning a luxury wedding. Just do it.

We contacted Behl Events in mid January of 2023. We had just gotten engaged. We wanted help planning our multiday Hindu Indian wedding for the upcoming fall. We reached out to a few different planners and Nupur understood our needs and asked the right questions. We knew that the staff at Behl Events were well experienced in Bay Area Indian weddings.
Nupur set us up with Anjali as our main planner. We opted for the full service planning package. Now, planning our wedding was no easy feat. We had a very short time frame. Planning started in earnest in March and our wedding date was set to be early September. Anjali was able to step up to the challenge and meet with us frequently to make it all happen.
Anjali was able to connect us with the right vendors who met all our needs. She was able to manage all the vendor’s requests and captain the ship. We had a fairly large wedding with two different venue locations with about an hour drive between the wedding and the reception which occurred on the same day. Anjali, Behl events and their whole team were able to coordinate and execute everything in an outstanding way.
Our wedding day went extremely well without any real hitch. Anjali was able to manage all issues the day of with or without our knowledge. It was truly the best day of our lives and we couldn’t have done it without Behl Events!

We had our Indian Fusion October wedding in Sonoma this year (Event Space: The Barn at Harrow Cellars), and I cannot express enough gratitude to Behl Events for their outstanding services throughout our wedding year and of course on the day of the wedding itself! Special shout out to both Anjali and Risha who helped me through this planning journey! I honestly could not have gone through it without them, they definitely helped keep me on track.
From the ramp up of weekly coordination meetings to vendor and budget assistance, they seamlessly orchestrated every detail. The day of coordination was flawless in my opinion as well…they expertly handled any problems that arose, helping me and my partner to be as present as possible for our big day.

When your wedding seems to magically unfold without a single issue, you know you had expert-level coordinators. We planned a two-venue wedding with five performances, including one from me and one from my husband. There were a dozen vendors. There was transportation from Berkeley to SF. There were surprises that had to secretly be rehearsed. There was no way we could have done it on our own.
We hired Nupur and her team a few months before the wedding. She paired us with Risha, a fantastic and super organized coordinator who put us at ease right away. Risha was indispensable, I can’t imagine having to handle the mountain of tasks that pile up during those last few weeks! Not only did she keep us on track, she and Nupur thought of so many things we wouldn’t have–potential logistical issues, ways to make the night flow better, and a really fun group sendoff after the ceremony.
Most importantly, they were the best support system the day of. Totally available, anticipating our needs before we asked, quietly wrangling people and keeping the night on schedule without anyone noticing the behind the scenes work. Anjali understood the nuances of our event, the small cultural elements of having a fusion event, how to use the venue effectively and had great ideas on how to make the event the best possible guest experience.
We had weekly meetings starting 6 weeks before the event where we ironed our event flow and any logistical detail and she was prompt with any follow ups and always connected the vision of our event we had communicated back to the finer details.

We worked with Anjali for a fusion Indian/Pakistani and Jewish wedding. She was really great throughout the planning process and helped us find the perfect balance of cultural elements and even introduced us to some we weren’t previously aware of. She’s extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and understanding. She also helped us handle more sensitive issues in elegant and thoughtful ways.
I think, though, that the best part of hiring Anjali was the incredible day-of coordination for both our pre-wedding event and for the wedding itself. Due to the pandemic, Nupur was in our lives for practically two whole years! Through out all of the unpredictability of that time period, she was with us, helping us navigate the changes, stress, and sharp turns along the way.
Nupur has a great wealth of knowledge of excellent vendors to choose from to make your wedding day special and it was her suggestion of our venue–the Lake Tahoe Hyatt–in our very first consultation phone call that helped me know she was someone with the right intuition and taste to help bring my vision for our wedding to life.

Planning a destination wedding was so easy with Nupur and her team. We were only able to see our venue one time before our wedding day, but Nupur visited our venue and met with the on-site coordinator on our behalf and got so many details I would not have even thought of sorted out.
I also have never been to an Indian wedding that ran on time until my own! I was very nervous about the timeline leading up to the events as I had an interfaith wedding with three events on our wedding day. Nupur and Anjali were working behind the scenes to make sure everything went smoothly. I actually got to enjoy my wedding and I do not think that would have been possible without these ladies.
